My HMO railroded me into a retirement home so it didn’t have to pay for me to be in a nursing home. The retirement home had a good reputation–but that is like saying a specific concentration cmp is the best concentration camp. The home I was in had petty little people running the place, making up rules as they went along, lying bout things, putting the residents at risk for haalth and safety and spending money on glitz and not infrastructure. Until you actually reside in one of these hell homes, you have no idea what they’re really like. And asking residents about the place doesn’t always help because many are stuck there and afraid of being thrown out for speaking honestly to anyone.
