There are many retirement homes in Los Angeles, California. One to avoid would be a place called either Woodland Park or Park Ventura located on Ventura Blvd in Woodland Hills. If you hav to live there: ask a lot of questions such as: do you have blank complaint forms for the department of social services? Do you order peopl about? Do you coerce people into behaving? Do any of your employees yell or harass any of th residents? Are any of you mredical techs licensed? How far do you transport people to their appointments? How do you handle emergencies? What do you clasify as an emergency? Do you ever take money or property away from any residents for any reason? What and why? Do you keep the water supplies safe? Have there ever been rats in the dfining room? Has anyone ever ben hurt in an elevator? Do employees ever wrongfully accuse residents of misconduct? How good tasting is the food on a consistent basis? Are residents told their rights verbally and do they know who to contact if their rights are violated? What rights are those? Do you follow every law applicable to you business? Do you ever lie? What is the real name of the owners? Where is their office or home? Under what circumstances can you be evicted? Do you ever interrogate residents about anything by calling them into an office without notice? How effective is the telephone system? What are all the rules that a resident must abide by and why? Do residents argue with eqch other? Are there any residents who are demented, violent, verbally abusive?
If you get sick in the middle of the night, what do they do for you? And how do they do that?
